Rossotrudnichestvo has launched Digital Economy international competition

Rossotrudnichestvo keeps going with the qualifiers for the Digital Economy international competition for bachelor and master degree students who study in the disciplines of information and communication technology. The event registration is open until 14 February 2020.

The assignment kits in Russian and English, on the relevant topics of digital economy, have been prepared for the competition participants: neurotechnology and artificial intelligence; distributed ledger systems; quantum technology; new manufacturing processes; industrial internet; robotic and sensitive components; wireless communications technology; virtual and augmented reality technology; data science; bit data. The participants are free to choose several nominations (subjects).

Winners and runners-up are to be offered preferences in admittance to bachelor and master programmes and involvement in the international student exchange programmes at top IHLs of Russia: KFU, ITMO University, SWFU, TUSUR and Kosygin RGU. The Higher School of Economics (NRU HSE) offers out-of-competition free involvement in the Study Tour Experience international academic internship (www.hse.ru/sturytour, whereas SFU gives 100 points in the portfolio content for master’s programme students and a 100% discount for summer school. Winners and runners-up will also have internships at top-notch Russian IT companies: Rostelecom, Kontur and FORS. The competition shall be split in three rounds. The competition assignments for correspondence qualifiers shall be published at the online educational portal stepik.org. International competition schedule: January – March 2020. On 25-26 March, Moscow will host the finals – a solemn ceremony of awarding winners and runners-up of correspondence rounds at the expense of the competition organisers.

In total, the competition brings together 46 CIS and non-CIS states: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Germany, Georgia, Denmark, Egypt, Indonesia, Israel, India, Iran, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Colombia, Cuba, Laos, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Malaysia, Morocco, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, Norway, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Finland, France, Sweden and Estonia.

The project is being implemented by order of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo). The project operator is InterMediaSol.
