Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) has launched a Digital Library of Digital Cooperation

The library supports all types and channels used to transfer the content for pre-IHL education, and Digital Pedagogy open multimedia general education course (MOOC).

“The purpose of the digital library isto disseminate Russian language and culture, promote Russian education abroad, make all those more accessible using contemporary infocommunication and digital technology,” – stressed Mikhail Popov, Director of the Scientific and Educational Projects Management Department at Rossotrudnichestvo.

The EBCS accessible at https://roslib.rudn.ru/ may become a source of techniques for teachers of Russianand Russian schools abroad. The library contains educational literature in Russian in various fields of knowledge, as well as conference materials, dictionaries, audio lectures, video lessons, fiction books and literature for children. Digital Education training module includes descriptionof mass open online courses (MOOC) with a feature to go to the platforms for training.

The library also contains links to multimedia resources that are helpful for learning Russian and getting familiar with the social and cultural environment. The web portal content provides data about memorable dates, and shares news on subjects such as: science, culture, student life, digital economy, education, Russian language in Russia and abroad.

The EBCS portal is accessible anywhere in the world where Internet exists, requires no authorisation, contains diverse information about learning Russian language and the social/cultural environment, about obtaining knowledge in various domains with the aid of Russian language. The web portal offers the feedback feature via the librarians, who can be asked a question related to the web portal functioning and on the issues of learning and using the digital library materials.

The EBCS is open for placement of materials contributive to creation of the unified infocommunication environment for digital cooperation. The web portal is a site for adding the learning and teaching literature and fiction, description of and links to the MOOC and general education lectures, description and links to multimedia, video and audio resources, news and events data.

The mission of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) is to secure Russia’s geopolitical interests by promoting cultural exchange, education and new technologies as well as to build strong relations and cooperation worldwide at the highest level of professionalism, efficiency and sustainability. The events are held as part of the Personnel for Digital Economy federal project in line with the national programme Digital Economy of the Russian Federation.
