Finals of the Digital Economy Competition Rescheduled

The finals of the international competition for bachelor and master degree students who study in the disciplines of information and communication technology has been rescheduled for autumn. The award ceremony should have taken place in Moscow on 25-26 March, and now the final tests of the competition and the award ceremony will take place after the restrictions due to the new COVID-19 spread threat are lifted.

Winners and runners-up are to be offered preferential admittance to the top universities of Russia for bachelor and master programmes: HSE, KFU, SFU, ITMO University, SWSU, and TUSUR. Winners and runners-up will also take part in student exchange programmes, summer and winters IT schools and internships at top-notch Russian IT companies: Rostelecom, Kontur and FORS. The tasks of the competition held in Russian and in English have encompassed nearly all the relevant topics of the digital economy: neurotechnology and artificial intelligence; distributed ledger systems; quantum technology; advanced manufacturing technology; industrial internet; robotic and sensitive components; wireless communication technology; virtual and augmented reality technology; data science; big data.

The project is being implemented by order of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo). The project operator is InterMediaSol. 

The time and duration of the final events is to be announced.

The mission of Rossotrudnichestvo is to secure Russian geopolitical interests by promoting cultural exchange, education and new technologies as well as to build strong relations and cooperation worldwide at the highest level of professionalism, efficiency and sustainability. The events are held as part of the federal project Human Resources for Digital Economy in line with the national programme Digital Economy of the Russian Federation.
