Digital Economy comes to Russian schools abroad: an international online competition starts in October
On 19 October the Digital Age Competition will start in the Russian-speaking segment of the Internet among school students from 13 countries. The competition is included into the grant programme of Rossotrudnichestvo aimed at increasing the literacy of students at Russian schools abroad as part of the Human Resources for the Digital Economy Federal Project.

The competition will consist of four disciplines: mathematics, computer science, physics and robotics. The tasks in mathematics and computer science are designed for grade 3-11 students, the tasks in physics are for grade 7-11 students. Robotics is a separate section designed for grade 8-11 students. Students from 13 foreign countries are invited to take part in the competition: Republic of Belarus, Tajikistan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, Azerbaijan, Moldavia, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, Slovakia, Estonia and Serbia.

Gifted students from any town and any country can demonstrate their knowledge and gain the deserved recognition. I believe that by giving a chance to the young generation to prove themselves and learn something new we not only lay the foundation for the future of science, but also strengthen the international ties. Everyone is invited!” — emphasised Mikhail Sergeevich Popov, Director of the Scientific and Educational Project Management Department of Rossotrudnichestvo.

The digital age online competition is open for entries since 16 September. Competition tasks will be performed from 19 October to 10 November. The contestants will be awarded personal letters of recognition, and the winners will get gift certificates for educational courses at the Foxford Online School and participate in the giveaway of robotic sets by Amperka. The steering committee’s functions are exercised by the “For High-Quality Education” All-Russian Public Organisation with the support from IT companies Proton-Lab, FBT, Foxford Online School and Digital Birch Telegram channel.
