DIGITAL PEOPLE INTERNATIONAL AWARD KICKS OFF

Submission of DIGITAL PEOPLE international award applications ends on 30 November 2020.

Digitalisation of all the processes in the public life is shaping up into a modern stage in evolution of the human civilisation, whereas digital technologies are becoming reality in all forms of international relations, which makes proper adjustments both in the development features of the countries, and the processes of international interaction and addressing the foreign policy challenges.

Within the scope of projects in the Digital Economy of the Russian Federation, Rossotrudnichestvo issued 27 grants, completed 28 projects in PC (Public contract) format, held 158 onsite and 115 offsite events.
In 2019-2020, Rossotrudnichestvo conducted more than 3,000 events in various formats, attended by over 1,000,000 people.
DIGITAL PEOPLE international award was founded by the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) in 2020, and is conferred annually.



The key aims of the award embraced supporting the projects that pursue promotion of achievements, raising the prestige of professional occupation in Russia, and developing professional international communications for facilitation of projects in the digital economy. And, amplifying the potential of projects implemented in the applied field, drawing attention of talented people who reside abroad to employment in the Russian Federation.

This year, projects in the following nominations are accepted:
• Cultural Pattern (Digital Culture)
Eligible will be the projects that enable to preserve the cultural and historical traditions via digitalisation capabilities.

• Conveyors of Knowledge
Eligible will be the projects with teachers from other states as the target audience.
• Talents, to Russia!
Eligible will be the projects with talented youth – students, postgraduate students and young research fellows from foreign nations – as the target audience, with the aim of attracting them to Russia to continue education.
• Digital After-School Club (Digital Technology at School)
Eligible will be the projects with school students as the target audience, with the aim of educating in digital literacy.
• Digital Contact
Eligible will be the projects that are fully or partially, although relevantly implemented in the online format.
• Direct Contact
Eligible will be the projects that are fully or partially, although relevantly implemented in the offline format.
• New Thinking
Eligible will be the projects that are creatively implemented, feature non-trivial approach to problem-solving.
• Digital Longliver
Eligible will be the projects with long-term continuation potential without financial involvement and support of Rossotrudnichestvo.
• People’s Choice
Popular vote is the format. Any visitor to the Award website may vote in favour of the project that he or she liked.

The submission will last until November, 30 2020.
The winners award ceremony takes place on December, 11 2020.
