Senior school students to learndigital literacy via Digiland Quiz app
Association of Data Market Players and the Russian-Cuban Friendship Society have developed a Digiland Quiz mobile app for school students on fundamentals of digital literacy. The project implementation is backed by Rossotrudnichestvo.
Digiland Quiz mobile app is an assistant in mastering the skills that are vital in the digital era. The app helps, while playing, check the knowledge in programming, information security, visualisation and infographics, and on data journalism. The free app is available for download in App Store and Google Play.
The app gives introduction into popular programming languages and enables to master the practical skills of writing programs in JavaScript, while playing. Digiland Quiz is committed to teaching the fundamentals of effective and safe living in the online environment, and gives the notion of various threats posed by the Internet.
The project also offered online courses for Russian-speaking school students of grades 9-11, who studied in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and in Cuba. ADMP and the Russian-Cuban Friendship Society developed 4 online courses dedicated to various highly demanded competences: Programming for Beginners, Data Security: How to Protect Yourself and Personal Accounts on the Web, Data Journalism, and Infographic Design and Data Visualization.
