Digital Knowledge Transfer partners with the Victory Museum
The Digital Knowledge Transfer Contest for teachers of Russian schools abroad has partnered with the Victory Museum. In April, the finalist teachers from different countries will have a chance to visit a unique exposition of the museum.
Partnership between the project and the Victory Museum will lay a foundation for international communication and patriotic upbringing of Russian-speaking young people living in foreign countries.
“Using state-of-the-art technologies and innovative solutions, the museum will tell our international guests in an easy-to-understand manner a fascinating story of the grand battles that shaped the global military history,” explains Alexander Schkolnik, Director of the Victory Museum.
The Digital Knowledge Transfer contest is intended for teachers of maths, computer science and crafts taught in Russian and for teachers of Russian as a foreign language. Teachers from 40 countries may apply for the contest. An important qualification criterion is the use of modern digital technologies in the creation of teaching materials. The professional teacher contest is organised by Rossotrudnichestvo.
“The mission of the contest is to support and promote the Russian language abroad and raise awareness about the Russian culture. The Russian language is becoming increasingly popular in the CIS and beyond. We have a unique opportunity to share Russian educational practices with the international professional community. Our intention with this contest was to give teachers a platform to share their professional experience and expertise with their colleagues from around the world and to improve the social status of a teacher in Russian schools abroad,” said Mikhail Popov, Head of the Educational and Scientific Projects of Rossotrudnichestvo.
